So You Want to Dance?

Which Group Should I Join?

Learn about the groups RPI Ballroom offers, and identify the ones you like. It is common for prospective members to try out several before making a choice, and of course, you can attend as many as you would like.

How Much Does It Cost?

RPI students pay a fee of $40 per semester, while others pay $60. This allows you to attend any Club, Swing, or Tango lesson. We accept payment by cash, check, or charge sheet (RPI students only). The first lesson is always free!

To join the Ballroom Team, members pay $25 per semester, in addition to competition fees for individual competitions, if attending. RPI students will have opportunities to take advantage of subsidized competition expenses. Team members do not have to pay Club/Swing/Tango fees to participate on the Team, but they still must pay those fees to participate in the other three.

Where Do I Sign Up?

Catch us at the Student Activities Fair in the Houston Field House in the beginning of the year!

If you're unable to sign up then, simply show up, and we will get you started. Of course, the earlier, the better, and most start at the beginning of semesters. This way, you can gather more knowledge and get the most out of your membership fees. Throughout the year RPI Ballroom offers trial lessons and introductory events like the semesterly Introduction Dance. Look out for advertisements on campus, on the home page, or on the official calendar. You do not need to attend one preliminarily to enroll with a group. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us.
